Questions and answers

What is Forever a Star?

A shared sky where every named star is a memorial for a pet. You choose a star, give it your pet's name, and write about the life you shared.

Does it cost anything?

No. Claiming a star and writing a memorial is free. Premium is an optional one-time payment for a memorial that needs more room for photographs.

What does Premium add?

Up to 100 photographs instead of one, a timeline of the moments you shared, the choice to keep photographs private, and a gold sparkle beside the name. It is paid once, per memorial. The Premium page shows the amount.

Do I need an account?

Not to look around. You can explore the sky and read memorials without one. Claiming a star, leaving a heart or writing in a guestbook needs a free account.

Which animals can I remember?

Any animal. Dogs, cats, birds, fish, horses, reptiles, small pets, farm animals and exotic pets each have their own kind, and there is a place for every other animal too. You are welcome to send us a mail at [email protected] if you would like to see a breed added, and we will do our best to add it.

Can other people see the memorial?

Yes. Anyone with the link, or anyone exploring the sky, can open it. Search engines such as Google only list a memorial when its owner switches that on in the memorial's settings.

Can visitors write something?

Visitors with an account can leave a heart or write in the guestbook. You choose whether messages appear at once, wait for your approval, or are not accepted, and you can remove any message.

Can I change or delete a memorial later?

Yes, at any time. A deleted memorial can be restored for 30 days, after which it is removed for good.

Who can see the photographs?

The cover photograph is always visible, because it is the face of the memorial in the sky. With Premium, you decide whether the other photographs are public or private.
